Melanie examplifies a woman beyond survival, and has reached a point, whereby she is now thriving. She speaks in different forums to advocate to end human trafficking. Melanie was trafficked at 12. She is now 20. She has suffered tremendously and now she works with other women that have gone through same thing. She had love from her siblings and friends that gave her the strength to go on. She has really gone from survive to thrive.

Monica has undergone many surgeries, trauma and societal stigma because of the acid attack that burned 90% of her body. Her inner strength has come from the love and support of her family, who gave uop everthing to pay for her surgeries to become the great person that she is today. Her father, unfortunately, passed away and was not able to see her successes. As a result, Monica opened up a foundation called Mahendra Singh Foundation in her father's memory. Saying "NO" to violence against women and girls, She has become one of Women Survival's superheroes. She has gone from survive to thrive, and she is now an international speaker and a well known personality.
