Proposal for the Project Model for HIV/AIDS in Conflict Zones in Eastern Chad
WBS's Planning Committee working on the proposal for the project model for HIV/AIDS in conflict zones in Eastern Chad/Darfuri refugee and IDP Camps held on February 8, 2008 at Latino Commission on Aids. Present: Blanche Foster, Darfur Rehabilitation project, Darleen Driver, Sandra Thaxter, UNICEF, Massimo Zucca, Rabia Salim, volunteer from Seton Hall University School of Diplomacy, Therese Wittner, Janice Mcdonald film crew, Atlanta, Stephanie Alvaro, volunteer worked with child soldiers in San Salvador and Northern Uganda, some of the people from the Latino Commission of Aids. This was a very productive meeting. A conference call was put through to University of California San Fransisco on the working of the mobile hospital in other regions of Africa as well as what their findings were with rapid aids testing in those particular regions of testing. Questions were asked to University of California San Fransisco regarding the statistics. Another conference call was made to Cameroon where they will supply the BD4 machines, qustions were asked by everyone present to Njenkenji Boniface of Cameroon regarding the implementation on the ground.

WBS is on Target Regarding the HIV/AIDS Project in Conflict Zones
The largest investments in AIDS prevention targeted to the general population are being made in interventions where the evidence for large-scale impact is uncertain.
The above research statement was made in conjunction with Harvard University, University of Berkley, CA, University of California, San Francisco and Science Magazine.
